Fire Fighters standing by as Sutton West Coast lights Olympic Cauldron

Were you able to get a great picture of yourself and friends standing in front of the lit cauldron during the 2010 Olympics? Was a pesky chain link fence blocking your view? This is your chance to get an unobstructed view of the cauldron AND support our Hometown Heroes!
We are proud of the men and women who keep our cities and homes safe so to honour their commitment to our communities, we’ve decided to re-light the Olympic Cauldron as we kick off our annual Sutton Awards Gala, held at the Vancouver Convention Centre.
The Cauldron will be lit from 7:00pm to 11:00pm, Saturday July 25th. The community is welcome to come down and show their support by having their photo taken in front of Cauldron with local members of the Vancouver Fire Department. Fire fighters and Burn Fund representatives will be on-site accepting cash donations and selling tickets for the Hometown Heroes lottery, with proceeds go directly towards a new Burn Fund Building. To make it event more fun there will be a photo booth set up with the lit cauldron acting as a back drop… and fire fighters will be standing by.

The BC Professional Fire Fighters’ Burn Fund is a registered charity established in 1978 by the BC Professional Fire Fighters Association. More than 3,600 professional fire fighters from forty-nine communities around the province are building the Burn Fund’s vision. They dedicate their time and skills to support burn survivors and increase the public’s knowledge about fire and burn safety issues through the work the Burn Fund does with its Burn Awareness, Research and Prevention Programs. B.C. firm tops real estate brokerage rankings

Canada’s largest real estate brokerage in 2010 was Sutton Group West Coast Realty with $8.4-billion in transactions, data tracker Real Trends said Tuesday in its second-annual national rankings of the country’s real estate industry. Sutton Group West Coast Realty, based in New Westminster, B.C., led the country in terms of both transactions and dollar volume. Its 1,690 agents closed 14,577 deals in 2010, for $8.4-billion in deals.
The rankings were put together by Colorado-based Real Trends, which has been compiling similar data in the United States for the past 20 years. The first Canadian survey was issued last year.

Remax Realtron Realty $3.3-billion
