FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

Langley, B.C. (September 15th, 2011)
Langley Real Estate Brokerage BBQ Raises $8000 for Burn Fund.

<img src="http://suttonwestcoast.com/files/2011/09/Burn-Fund-BBQ-Langley-web.jpg"alignleft size-medium wp-image-1620" />

Sutton Group – West Coast Realty hosted their annual Langley REALTOR® BBQ this past Thursday to raise awareness and funds for the BC Professional Fire Fighters’ Burn Fund.

“In our work we see the positive side of our clients and families buying and enjoying their homes. On the flip side, the firefighters are there to support us all during times of distress”, said Donna Rogers, Managing Broker for the Sutton Group – West Coast Realty Langley office. I’m thankful to all the REALTORS and supporters who understand the dangerous job firefighters do and are equally proud of all the work done by the doctors, nurses, support staff and burn researchers to assist burn survivors across BC.”

The weather threatened to dampen the party but with the rain graciously holding off, in a single evening the Sutton West Coast office managed to raise $8000 through personal donations, sponsorships and silent auction.

Captain Jordan Sparrow and fellow fire fighters were on hand to accept the cheque and were thankful for the generous level of support. “It was an amazing evening, the amount raised was a surprise and it shows the big hearts and community spirit of the office and everyone involved,” said Sparrow.

Sutton Group – West Coast Realty to re-light the Olympic Cauldron in support of the BC Professional Fire Fighters and the Burn Fund

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

Vancouver, B.C. (June 23, 2011) – On June 25th at 7:00pm, Sutton Group West Coast Realty will re-light the Olympic Cauldron in Jack Poole Plaza to honour our cities’ Hometown Heroes, the BC Professional Fire Fighters.

In 2009 Sutton Group – West Coast Realty established the “Sutton Cares” community program to support the BC Professional Fire Fighters’ Burn Fund and the development of a new Burn Fund Building in Vancouver. In light of recent events in Vancouver, Sutton Group – West Coast Realty thought it would be fitting to honour their relationship with BC’s Fire Fighters and re-light the cauldron to kick off their annual Awards Gala being held at the Vancouver Convention and Exhibition Centre.

“Our REALTORS® care deeply about the well being of their communities and the neighbuorhoods they work in. It’s a perfect fit to support fire fighters and the Burn Fund, as they go above and beyond to take care of both our homes and our families in times of distress,” said Merrily Hackett, general manager for Sutton West Coast.

The Cauldron will be lit from 7:00pm to 11:00pm. Members of the community are encouraged to come down and show their support by having their photo taken in front of Cauldron with local members of the Vancouver Fire Department. Burn Fund representatives will be on-site accepting cash donations and selling tickets for the Hometown Heroes lottery, in which all proceeds go directly towards a new Burn Fund Building.

“We are proud of the men and women who keep our cities and homes safe,” added Josh Heppner, chief operating officer of Sutton Group – West Coast Realty. “It is important for us as a local business to rally support for these individuals; so to honour their commitment to our communities, we decided to re-light the Olympic Cauldron.”

The BC Professional Fire Fighters’ Burn Fund is a registered charity established in 1978 by the BC Professional Fire Fighters Association. More than 3,800 professional fire fighters from fifty-two communities around the province are building the Burn Fund’s vision. They dedicate their time and skills to support burn survivors and increase the public’s knowledge about fire and burn safety issues through the work the Burn Fund does with its Burn Awareness, Research and Prevention Programs.

April 11, 2011 – Vancouver, B.C., Canada – Sutton Group – West Coast Realty, today announced a strategic alliance with Mac Station to provide specialized technology training and support to Sutton West Coast’s 1,700 plus REALTORS.

“There is a big misconception in our industry that Apple based solutions are not for Real Estate Professionals, but we think different,” said Josh Heppner, COO of Sutton West Coast Realty. “In fact the easy to use solutions hitting the market today from Apple, such as the iPad and Macbook Air, are exactly the tools our REALTORS want to use. Real Estate is an outside sales business and our REALTORS are more mobile than ever. They must have the tools at their fingertips that give them instant access to information, expedite their ability to communicate with their clients and help them efficiently market properties to a broad audience. To lead the way, our office managers have been fitted with iPads to power communications and presentations both in the office and on the road.”

As part of Sutton West Coast’s educational and professional development programs, Mac Station will provide both in-class training and specialized one-on-one support for REALTORS as they get setup and make decisions on technology purchases for their business. Since 2003, Mac Station has consistently earned the Consumers’ Choice Award for Business Excellence as a result of their dedication to quality and service for their clients.

“We’re thrilled with the opportunity to support Sutton West Coast’s REALTORS with solutions that make their life easier and more effective,” said Harald Sinow, CEO of Mac Station. “Our team is committed to providing the best Apple solutions for our customers and we have already seen a tremendous response from within the Real Estate Industry as they now use these solutions on a daily basis. With the introduction of the new iPad2 the possibilities are truly endless for how these tools can be integrated and we’re here to support Sutton West Coast as they embrace and lead REALTORS through this shift in the real estate industry.”

“Apple has a knack for creating powerful products that are easy to adopt for business,” said Mr Heppner. “Our relationship with Mac Station is a natural fit. They too are dedicated to guiding our REALTORS® through the maze of technologies available to them today and can help each REALTOR choose the solutions that work best for their business. We’re seeing more and more tech-savvy REALTORS join our company and this partnership will help them serve their clients with an even higher level of service.”

About Mac Station
For the past 17 years Mac Station has been providing sales, service and support for Apple solutions and is a full service authorized Apple retailer with 3 locations serving Greater Vancouver.
